Maybe people could try the different skins (as in use them for a little bit, not just in preview mode) and let you know if there are any problems?

I switched to 'Alienation', only to find out that quoted text has the same background as the regular one, which makes it harder to read. So I tried 'Enterprise' and it appears that hyperlinked texts are invisible when quoted. It's a small thing, but you don't want to use Ctrl+A just to be able to read your forum.

If I may suggest something, more s-f and hard s-f themes can prove quite popular among us SMAC folk. ;) I can try them out for sure.

I haven't even gone through half of what's available. And learning about what works with these and what doesn't will give some good ideas to anyone here who wants to do some original skins.

Agreed - I've given Mylochka access to the themes stuff, and suggested that looking into fixing up the Enterprise theme would be a good start towards learning how to make a SMAC(X) theme...

I'm getting some of it faint in Enterprise, but nothing invisible, in IE and Chrome.  Firefox doesn't really like SMF, which isn't a revelation anymore.  I wish I knew what to do about it...

Well, I'm not giving up Firefox. I can highlight the font to read it, and it appears that the fields are collapsible, so I can just collapse it when I don't need it.

All it needs is a font color tweak.
