Jean Rogers was actually born Eleanor Dorothy Lovegren, her father was from Sweden (swedish beauty ftw! :D) She won a beauty contest in 1933, sponsored by Paramount, that's how she got into movies...

My bad - I'd already posted this.  Just Imagine was the first feature-length science fiction talkie, I believe. 

I sent it to Mylochka at the same time (for the Great God Tao), and she watched the whole thing and recommends it.  Sez the 1980 it depicts is funny, as it anticipated the drugs everywhere, Thomas Dolby and Madonna.
