Hey Kilkakon, if you don't mind me asking a question about this mod: are your interludes keyed to the same events as vanilla SMAC(X) but with different text, or did you code them to trigger from different criteria?

The same events - nobody's worked out a way to alter the interlude triggers as yet, and believe me, there's been a lot of trying.  There's high hopes for getting one of our .exe coders to take a run at it, 'cause changing the program looks to be what it will take.

Yeah the events are the same triggers as normal. :) It's a bit hard to do great storytelling as some can appear out of order, but I did my best.

I'll do it when I can. I've had a shocking week.

Yeah, people love gameplay.

Only thing about gameplay content is you literally got to churn stuff out.  It is hard to do that with a life or if you have found a new shiny.

Not that you can make money off of it, but I think there are gamers that value opinions.

Turn 155

Although weary, the remaining Light units are able to clear out another stack of Fallen units, destroying 8 more of them. Artillery bombardment continues, of course.

Meanwhile, Fallen Pirate Ships begin interdicting their way towards Watery Redemption, capturing a Work Boat in the process.



I proceed to queue a few Pirate Ships of my own to support the defensive.

Turn 158



Finally, the outpost is complete. This will allow me to press forward with my righteous fury, driving the Fallen forces before me, due to the solid backing of a defensible position.

Davo keeps giving me units, which helps reinforce the area, even if some of them aren't exactly crack troops. The inclusion of Ballistae into my defence means that finally my troops have a chance to heal.

Turn 161

Time to push out. Finally, I will prevail.



Of course, the demons lie in wait in those vines to the west. A Clockwork Tank may perish at the evil creature's thorns.

Turn 162



Fortunately, the Tank is able to make a swift retreat. Although it takes heavy damage in the process, it will live to serve again.

The blessed march continues, and I secure a key Bunker and Outpost, stretching out further onto The Confluence.



Meanwhile, Edge convenes the council, and decides to declare a Global Trade agreement. This of course, only helps me more, due to the large number of allies and treaties I have at the moment.



My forces advance, capturing one bunker after another.



The first Charmander Defender falls, and although several other units are holding the city, it is not enough.



Oblivion, you have now felt the fist within my glove.

... uh-oh.
