I hope I'll never have to move again. When we have a decent manager here (the current one treats me pretty well), things are okay. But I still have most of my packing boxes (the kind that fold up) just in case. I also have the business card for the last company I used, to bring my stuff here from the storage place where I'd had some of it... now they did a good job. They were prompt, careful, and put everything where I told them to.

I had to move three times in a year around three years ago. Moved from a one bedroom to a townhouse because my daughter wanted to live with me. Was in the townhouse maybe two months when I get a letter from Bank of America saying my landlord was in foreclosure for not paying the mortgage. The bank gave me 10K to get out in 3 weeks time. Then I moved into a townhouse right around the corner that was in a bit worse shape but cheaper. Been here ever since.

Was going to move to Chattanooga this year, but the deal on the house there fell through. Of course, due to drama between people ranging from mistresses, low life relatives, and others arguing over the house then turning around and wanting 4x more than what they originally said. Kind of glad I don't have to do it now, as much as I have outgrown my place.

I'm still an even six. Thing is, I graduated high school at 170 lbs, 40" chest, 32" waist and maintained that weight into my 40s- basically until I got married. I don't expect to get back to that before I'm old and feeble, but I plan to make a serious push for sub 200. Long term I'd like to lose about a pound/week, just so that my skin can shrink-fit.

Brief update before I get back to responsibilities-

My dad had a dr. visit, no surgery scheduled, more appointments in 3 and 8 weeks. He did 60 ft.  in a walker, so if nothing else, his brain is getting better control of his feet, and his legs are stronger.
Haven't talked to my Mom yet, just e-mail.

Today's weigh in is 256.6, exactly 22 lbs less than when I started. My wife says I look better from the front and back, that is I seem to have lost my love handles/side belly. Also, my wedding ring came lose in the shower. I'm more convinced I can do this.

I have to get stuff done, because my mom may need a support person again soon. Later.

You might try weight lifting as supplementary effort - you seen me talk about my two-exercise routine, surely.  I'm roughly overweight the same as you've gotten down to, and going heavy on careful bent-over rows, has never strained my lower back, and I look FANTASIC from behind, for my weight, from the upper back muscles and broad shoulders I've built up - those are still with me when I haven't touched a weight in years...

Fair enough.  Tastes differ, and I don't understand the bearhuggers, though I've MET plenty.  (And had to turn too many down...)
