How did your solution compare to the engineers drawing, UnO?
Also, first you need to get it fixed by Friday, no budget or help, and now the engineers were 'meddling'? Panic reaction of an executive, or are things literally like a disturbed chicken pen at work?
By the way, the machine still stands in the corridor next to its assigned room?

Big bosses have better things to do on a Friday than be in the office, but get really mad at people who spend half a million without measuring on Monday morning and tell these people to fix it.  They hold the budget, so no budget on Friday turns into go engineer a fix on Monday as well. 

Their design wouldn't have worked as it was.  It was akin to my first thought on building one.  The specs of the machine don't account for the casters, though, because they didn't expect anyone to not measure.  I had to pull actual measurements off the machine to build my solution, then address the safety issues involved with raising it.  Otherwise, they were being typical engineers and getting fancy materials when me and a couple 2x4's got the job done fine. 

Plus side, second time in the last 2 weeks I've amazed people at work with my woodworking abilities.  Downside, it's required me bringing in a lot of my personal tools. 

The machine is in and on the stand ready to be played with.  Instructions didn't cover enough removal to get it to fit, but as long as you label your screws and wires and hoses, it's not THAT tough to figure out.

Work is "observing" on Friday the 13th.  Hm...What pie would be most appropriate? 

Wonder if the school is going to get involved this year...

Well...my record is holding steady. 

Brand new can do everything you ever could possibly want software.  5/5 I have broken in the first day of training. 

"That shouldn't happen"  Love the instructors always saying that. 

It's almost as much fun as 2 months from now when I eventually have to call in to customer support when I break something else, and then have to teach the support tech the software he's supposed to be helping me on and convince them to let me in the back end to fix my own stuff.  (last software company offered me a job during training.  Just didn't want to move to San Diego)   

Well, off for real work while they try to figure out what they configured wrong.

Most people in Northern Utah (which is a good chunk of the total population of Utah, really) live along the east shore of the Great Salt Lake, yes.
