Random crap with Uno.

Back in 2010, I was attempting to make the spider woman temple.  Steve was the name I gave to my mummies, designed to be in a blacklight area, but instead of some putrid green glow or similar silly thing, I made them flesh toned. 

(sorry, I committed the cardinal sin of not getting a pic of the completed product. )



Wildfire paint followed the project on my blog and invited me to Transworld in 2010 to bring it out with me for them to display.  It wasn't done in time. 

I was also making all the Stele and whatnot.  Well, we had a storm knock down a shed and destroy most everything I had worked on, so we switched things up in September to make "The Harvest" theme, because I had nothing and people on the Halloween forum were making fun of those that 'Just put out some corn stalks and pumpkins".  The Harvest has since become a staple, with more than a dozen copycats on the Halloween forum last year (part of the reason I'm doing the tomb thing this year)...but I had 5 "steves" half built and in storage under my stairs. 

Well, Wildfire called back in 2011 about Transworld.  So, I finished them, sold 4 to the Diablo's Dome haunted house last year, and sent one to Wildfire with my blessings.  They in turn sent me some product and invited me again this year. 

They've offered to put me in their publication as well, and keep pushing me to go professional, but I'm hesitant to make it a job again.

You basically get income 3 months of the year, but are working constantly.  The consulting thing I do part time is pretty fun.  I do need to get a business license, though, to add some occasional sales to the list.

Does it stink?  The master touch would be to to make it smell so rotted and foul that no one, especially your boy, will get a close look.  Stuff a thimbleful of ground beef in it somewhere...

It have sincere doubts that a "product" will have the vomitous effect that genuine rotting meat will - and at ten times the cost, I bet.

-Of course, if it has to be stinky by Saturday, on the other hand...

The products are more for massive dispersion across a huge area.    And, they're hit or miss whether they smell like what they're supposed to.  I try to avoid the bad ones.

I don't think you would want it to spread all that far, anyway - just make it too discusting for anyone to want to get close...

It's impressive that you managed to fool your boy.  Did you do the smell stuff?

No, I had dropped it off before you even brought it up. 

They buried it in a cave that had really ashen colored dirt, made it look even better...but they buried it upside down for some reason (dirt side up), so it wouldn't have made any sense to anyone that had studied how things rot at all...not that 13 year olds really pay attention to that.  Will get picks later.
