Google tells me the price of a new K5 body has dropped $100 since I was looking a couple months back.  Unfortunately, used prices are not changing yet.

I do miss woolworths, though. 

Went down to Spirit for the first time this season.  It happens to be right next to a Savers (Thrift store that also does new Halloween items, not sure how national they are) this year, so had to stop there as well.  Really, a shocking difference in both price and quality between the two.  Bringing home a hat from the latter. 

Though, to give spirit SOME credit, they did address one of my major complaints in some of their new props.  They are JUST the VOICE, and not an annoyingly cheap 'spooky' soundtrack going in the back as well. 

This was easily the best mass produced prop I've seen.

Harvested the tall corn and about a third of the raven grass.  Built the 2 gates, and started prepping an area in the back yard for a new concept. 

Feeling good to be doing something for a change.  Then a storm rolled in.   

Oh, got a mold started too.

Genuinely surprised how effective the method is, going to have to file that away for later use.

Thought it was obvious.  Just shoving the corn down into the pallets, and screwing them together.  Genuinely surprised how effective the illusion 'down in' the maze.  Saved the above shot to remind me how it's done.  Essentially free materials, too.

Ah.  While you're in it, the pallets register as edge-of-the-cornfield fencing.  I would have thought one layer of stalks wouldn't do the trick.

Precisely what I would have thought as well.   Lighting tricks complete it as the area behind the cornwall is darkened, so you just don't SEE beyond the front.  Good tick for a corridor, but not a full maze.  If I actually had enough I might use it myself this year.
