This was at the limits of the camera's zoom, see if you can spy several monarchs here.



Started spotting Monarchs in the Mojave desert as we drove, and saw a number around the grounds at Disney.

Ah.  I misunderstood the following, given the proximity to your vacation.

Okay, I was in the grocery store this afternoon, and they had some pretty big, pretty good-looking real pumpkins for sale, $6 apiece; most of them a nice orange and mostly reasonably unflawed.  -Also, some warty, gourdy-looking ones at the same rate, some orange, some green, some yellow, and some combinations thereof.  Naturally, I took a good look when I saw them, after our talk.

Yeah, Halloween forum folks.  Lost that thread during vacation, I'll try to dig it up, but we had over 7000 people online last night, it's getting to be a madhouse over there just trying to moderate that much traffic.
