when did math TERMINOLOGY change?Seriously, both my boys are bringing home what may as well be another language. It's not that I don't remember how to DO whatever, it's that when they ask me a question, they're calling things TOTALLY different than I was taught.

I don't even remember what it was last night, terminology wise. We've had a couple of them come home that are just odd. The problem is they are into mathematics where there's multiple means of coming to the answer, I have to decipher WHICH they are supposed to be doing. Apparently I told Alec the shorthand method of what they were doing last night when they want them learning the long way first. Send home some examples then as far as I'm concerned.
