Don't know how to share this, or if it's Uno's kind of deal, or if you can even see FB stuff, but https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10222300650158943&set=pcb.10222300651678981

Saw and thought of you.

Very nice...let's break it down...

Oriental trading alien as the child, oriental trading ~2015 raking.
Costco pose N stay ~2014 riding lawn mower and being run over.
Bag O bones littered on the ground...looks like the Michaels version.
2 models I can't identify running.  Judging by the apparent repairs to the necks, going to guess walgreens or more oriental trading.
Rather creative use of stakes to make the poses.

Appears to be lit with solar spots...that would be the area I'd suggest improvement next...

Alien, yes.

As mentioned, we're going a lot more light hearted than normal and just the front.

These guys will be carving pumpkins...

Call it a commentary, or a photo op.

Cornhole.

Talia's idea, he's taking a pic of the big guy.

Had to dismantle the big guy and the arch for a wind storm overnight, though.

yeah, we have a couple cleaning pumpkins, they're sitting on the grass.

And the one near the tree is putting one up in the tree.

So, we recently dropped netflix in favor of CBS and crunchyroll (Talia is big into Anime right now).  Figure we'll rotate some services to catch up on series that interest us.

So...

Twilight Zone:

Episode 1:  The Comedian.

I guess interesting ish concept?  But I didn't totally dig the performance and it was SUPER predictable for me as a horror buff who adores be careful what you wish for stories.

Episode 2:  Terror at 30000 ft.

I was semi expecting yet another remake on the classic, but it was completely re-imagined, and I really liked this one.  Adam Scott really nails the performance which is ever more restrained than either Shatner or Lithgow, and works well with the re-imagining.

Episode 3: Rewind

...Ok, this episode was very uncomfortable to watch but it was supposed to be.  It follows a mom and son being pestered by a racist cop, and just keeps ramping up the racism at every turn no matter what they do to the point of softcore horror levels, and is FANTASTIC in its uncomfortableness up to a point...but it stumbles in the third act with some weird ass [poop] about 'the old country' and magic supposedly brought from Africa, but that just becomes lip service and we then go on an underground railroad analog before going back into racist cops...and an all black university for some reason?

Uno, Mylochka's curious if you're familiar with Matthew Hopkins, the witch finder.

@Talia (via Unorthodox if necessary): I've been wallowing in Anime for a few years now (mostly on Crunchyroll, but also Funimation and elsewhere).  If interested, I'd be delighted to share my informal list of what I've found to be good or bad and to hear your suggestions and opinions.  There are a lot of hidden gems that can be difficult to discover among the huge mass of junk so I'm always eager to have some help with that.

All this talk of fungus and worms makes me hungry...

Sort of.  Didn't he write one of the witch manuals?  like specifically I seem to recall he's responsible for the tie em up and toss em in the river where they either drown a good christian death or are witches to be burned and the witches marks, but I think he stole that part from earlier books.  But other than the book's role in the colonies, my knowledge of england during the time is a bizarre gap in my study.

He did write the book - and I gather that, at least in England, it's THE book and the gap is worthy of filling.

Just going to say...Last time I let Talia loose on a forum, the account ended up in the hands of the FBI as el creepoids come out of the ether.

She's presently SUPER into Haikyuu (spelling)

Others she's currently going through include Fruit baskets (I think that may be spelled differently though) and HunterxHunter.

Past favorites are too many to make a complete list, but she mentions Vampire Knight (night?), Magi, and Assassination classroom.

As with all my kids, she was raised on Miyazaki right alongside Disney.  Her favorite was Kiki's...until Ponyo come out....SOOOO MUCH PONYO....which is the first Miyazaki film I've officially grown sick of as a result.

* Random quote

You see in this dome the intermingling of native and earth plants. Outside, they are competitors, struggling over the trace elements required for life. Often, one destroys the other. Here, they are tended with care and kept well nourished. They thrive together, and the native fungus does not unleash its terrible defenses. As you can see, competition is unnecessary when resources are plentiful and population growth is controlled.
