Now that's eerie. When I composed the post my first impulse was to write 'Oregon' instead of 'Idaho'.

Now I'm Forks after a few days of no service in Moclips.  I did not realize until getting here that this is the setting of Twilight and it's only claim to fame. I'm seriously considering writing team Dracula on all the signs. 

Also, coincidentally, the town cemetery is our neighbor.  About to take a moonlit stroll.

Looks like a number of the more popular folks have suddenly started making props with hollow chests light lit by hidden lights.  I wouldn't go as far as to call them copies of the chimera designs, but this has been one of my staples in design.  I've written articles on designing around that light and learning how it's going to throw light and shadow.  The 'old guard' is catching on, and some of them will add their own spins to it as they play with the idea.  Others will soon follow.   

Mark my words, going to be bad copies of the concept on the mass market within 5 years.

Time is upon us once again for the annual end of summer evening with the family. 

Bonus points, I'm told my elder brother and the vituperator will not be around this year. 

If you've followed much the last few years, you know this means I'm on spot to regale my niece and nephew with a campfire tale or two. 

I'm open to suggestions. 

Started with The Big Toe when they were real young, we've done most of the famous short ones by now.  Last year I even memorized The Monkey's Paw, which my niece is still going on about, and even The Cremation of Sam McGee. 

I'm open to suggestions at this point.  Most the Scary Stories series is tapped out.  I may be moving on to Poe.
