Random crap with Uno.

So far seen for sale at the dressup shops:  Tinkerbell, Cinderella, Belle, Snow White, Tangled, "Brave", Mermaid, Jasmine. 

Notably absent in my own mind:  Mulan, Tiana :  Both characters are featured in meat and greets, the latter in at least one parade, and represent minorities glaringly absent from the above list.  Honorable mention for Sleeping Beauty with the caveat that I often mix her up with Cinderella as far as disney stuff goes, so it's likely she should be in the above list.

Another so-obvious-it's-all-but-unfathomable omission.  The princess and the frog show was pretty much ALL about Tiana with her gumbo and sweets (forgetting the name in the show) building a restaurant.  Long standing food stand, in a park known for naming these things after their characters with suitable facades, mind you, selling gumbo and fritters....HOW IN THE HELL WAS THIS NOT MADE INTO TIANA'S RESTAURANT?  Perfect place to set up the meet and greet even.

I was approached yesterday about doing a survey via Email and figured I'd collect my thoughts and give Disney my thoughts then. 

Tonight, a reporter from the NY times who has been hired as a consultant by Disney stopped and asked a few questions, which turned into a probably 30 minute interview.  I don't think many stop to talk to her that long to begin with, but I also have a unique perspective on things re: Halloween.

So, BU:  Dealing with glare in photoshop?  I don't have a polarized filter for this particular lens and was hoping for a photoshop solution.

The boys were playing out too far for me to use my nicer set of lenses.  My doubler also had some dirt in it which I just spent the better part of an hour cleaning out of the camera body/sensor.

That's an excellent photo.

Is your problem that you'd like your boys to show as other than silhouettes?  You could try cutting them out of the background, tweaking the brightness/contrast - color saturation, then pasting them back, but I suspect that's way too much trouble to go to to polish a turd.  There's just not enough to work with, I think, especially with (Kyle?) in the foreground.

I am assuming that those pictures were taken in California? It looks familiar... what pier was that?

I suspect some of them are lost causes, yes.  But others could probably be salvaged.  I've only converted them to JPEG for posting, haven't really tried to fiddle with any yet. 

Alec here, probably salvageable to something semi nice, for instance.  These are more impressive when you realize JUST how far out they were.  Still, difficult shooting without the tripod at that distance.

Been home just about 24 hours now, 2 neighbors stopped to ask if everything was ok because they hadn't seen the sign out.  1 called asking if we need more pumpkins because they have extra, they're going to sell em for $1 to provide even more dirt cheap decor to the neighborhood, and another stopped by a 'happy Halloween month' present.
