My name is Zack and I am probably the worst player on these forums. I have only played a few games with my friends and I have been worked everytime. I was Googling strategies and ended up finding these boards and was happy to see an active community, so I signed up.

Hello, fellow SMACers! Long time no see. I haven't play SMAX for a while, but I'll be happy to dust off my copy. So, where do I go to play? Are there any regular CMNs around? I'm not picky and can also play as replacement, if there is one currently needed.

You want The Command Nexus for MP.  We do have a couple of CMNs active, not that we couldn't use more - sisko and t_ras stay pretty busy.

you may know me from 'Poly. my username there is bdanv and we have played together some turns of the Vets8 PBEM untill Archaic dropped out of that game.

as BUncle said, Command Nexus is the place you have to check-in first. we have also a game of the month which you can play, even if i don't think that will be much of a challenge for you.

I think I remember that game, sisko! If I was a replacement and Archaic was clearly winning, then that was that. Also, I remember t_ras quite well, I believe we had a pretty nice and long game many many eons ago. Pity the 'Poly SMAC died with the launch of CIV4.  Kudos for reactivation, sadly no other game could mesmerize me as much as good ol' SMAX. On to the Command Nexus, gentlemen!

I'm Yitzi.  I love the story and much of the gameplay, but there are some things that are just too exploit-like or unbalanced, so I joined mainly to see if I can find the coding help to make it possible to write a mod to fix that.  Then I hope to actually have some interesting MP games with the new rules.
