Flux's Custom Factions

I believe I might remember how to do it- you need to have the name of your faction file, for example:

For the Crimson comrades, all the files are named CRIMSON in the folder (the pcx's, text etc.)

I would have the audio blurb I want named this way too, you put it in voices.

You have to make sure the file is an .MP3, so if its not convert it to an MP3- use program like CDexe to do conversions.


Edit: On that note... the mp3 file of the CC blurb as an example...

(and yes, I voiced it a while ago and added sound effects to it, its cheesy and im old and English isn't my first.)

Alright, since I've finished the Creche I'm going to interrogate you until I get it ask a few questions on this.
I copied a file called CRECHE.mp3 into my AC folder, and it didn't make a sound when I hit play. Plus, when I looked at the other factions I didn't see any files called "GAIA.mp3" (example)
I already have a recording, and once I find out how to add some electronic-sounding effects to it that'll really be the end of the Creche's development.
EDIT: figured it out, but the pitch is all messed up. Oh well.

Sure. Keep in mind the best designed one is the Red Unit.
If your going to download one besides the RUnit, get the Reaganites.
Also, Creche Union is almost done. Just having trouble with the audio.

I decided to release the CU for all to download, even if the audio file is messed up. Included it anyway.
Fully functional without it.

Alright everyone, the Creche Union is done! 
I recommend you try and fight a round of SMAC with them. Might have some fun, dialogue had a lot of assistance by ChocolateTeapot from fanfiction.net
I'm very excited about this faction. It will also be my primary now.

The Red Unit is kind of a spoof of a faction from the game Supreme Commander by GPG.
So I decided I'm going to do the other 2. UEF will come soon.

I really wanted to make something out of all the faction art he had posted. I have to say, this was the easiest graphic I've ever done. So BU definitely achieved his goal of giving artists a leg-up. It's one of, if not the best looking faction I've ever done. There is no text file yet. Here is "The Flux League."

^ Just thinking of possible leader quotes here. Turns out I'm not a horrible poet. Of course, I doubt this will be in the final faction. It really has nothing to do with the Flux League.

I'm not sure at this point. I trashed my original backstory because it looked like a bad fanfic. I'll share it anyway.
To put it simply, The University did an experiment called the Flux experiment. They put all public datalink info into a newborn's brain. There was about 10,000 of them, with the first being called "Codename BlueFlux." They hated life in the labs, and escaped to found their own society. (Flux meaning the end of a spool of solder or metal, something that can be melted into anything you want)
I really don't like this though. So the only thing that could save this is if somebody told me it was good.
There is no other Flux's here at all. Looks like nobody gets a cameo as scientist. It also makes me angry that I didn't check to see if I could've just used "Flux" as my username and skipped on the color.
Oh well. I'll try to think of something better. Or maybe I'll just use the bonuses as a base and wing-it with the faction blurb.
