TEXAS-sized hail!
« on: April 03, 2014, 10:50:40 PM »
All my life, I've heard hail the size of a big marble called "golf ball-sized".  We do get the "golf ball-sized" once or twice a summer most years back in America.

Today?  I'm REALLY curious how much they're going to exaggerate THIS on the weather.  It was incredibly loud.  The ones pictured in the attachments were not carefully cherry-picked for size; just the biggest Mylochka saw in a few seconds close by.  She was concerned about taking a head shot; at the peak of activity the (explosive) impacts when the big ones hit something hard were impressive.

Now we're getting more amidst a tornadic thunderstorm.

We leave for America Saturday morning, and I am not going to miss this clown/fascist state.

It was a great deal more intense than this makes it seem.

How did a hippy get on our porch?

I hope it didn't damage the solar collectors.

There are two kinds of scientific progress, the methodical experimentation and categorization, which gradually extend the boundaries of knowledge, and the revolutionary leap of genius which redefines and transcends those boundaries. Acknowledging our debt to the former, we yearn, nonetheless, for the latter.
