If that's Cha Dawn, am I right that you mistook him for a woman?  I say it's the voice acting.  Definitely a woman's voice, even if she's trying to voice act a "boy".

The head is too vertically elongated.  Greta's head has a roundness.

Her braids are also generally a lot thicker.

Actually, if you mean cropped to SMACX leaderhead proportions and scanlined, an easy job.  Save me the poking around and post some headshots to work with, and I'll do it - quickly if no random events triggering get in the way...

Do it and I'll signal-boost ya. If you have time, the portraits for the Pandora: First Contact faction leaders are even easier, as they already have head-centered portraits unlike C:BE's full-body avatars.

That said, I do wish there was a way besides scanlining to make images in general look more hand-illustrated, like the original SMAC  faction portraits look to me.

Actually, dunno - I can turn a photograph into a painting if I want to spend the time -not all that consistently good, but I can- seems pointless with these obvious illustrations, but I can probably fiddle the contrast and this and that, improve the skintone at a painting-like resolution, maybe get them more like paintings and way less CGI.  Is that what you'd rather than processing them as if they were SMACX leaderheads?

-Not tonight or anything, but if tomorrow's as slow on the boards, starting in the morning.  This'll be slower than simple size/crop and scanline.

-Got all seven.  Need your answer about what you want before I get to work tomorrow.  Size/crop and scanline still quick & easy if you like the painting-ified versions.  They have crap skintones and almost the corners/sharp edges showing from the 3D program they were generated in.  Yeah - I can improve these...

Nah, no need. I was just idly musing. I’d like to be able to replicate the portrait style of Jerome Atherholt, perhaps by training an AI to do it one day, but no need to try to tweak existing art to do it. Your typical simple crop and scanline would do nicely for the C:BE and P:FC art. You’re still up to do the twelve Beyond Earth sponsors eventually, right?
