I'm trying the Civ 6 skin, and for the most part I really like it. A couple of things are hard to read (could be resolved with a darker font) and my Spud doesn't show up as well in my sig... but the navigation at the top of the forum is much better than it is when I use Enterprise. In fact, I found some stuff this afternoon that I hadn't realized was even there.

Okay - are we talking breadcrumbs could be darker or lines in the postbit or what?  I got a similar report from Birdjaguar this morning, and I take those Moby Dick issues seriously; I was trying to go as dark as I thought would still show a touch of green in all the shades of brown, but legibility has to come first.

-It's just, I fiddled with it for so long that I have no judgment about what's dark enough - I have to squint so much of the time anyway.

Hmm.  I switched to 6 to check, and am seeing no aberration.  Commencing FF boot to check; please stand by...

...I cannot account for this.  Lurking in FF, theme set to 6, the only white I see on the whole root page is a box in the signin and a little margin around the Wiki link pic, both right sidebar and not the top of the root...

Have you tried a hard refresh to make sure it isn't a bad page load in your cache for the nonce?

I gotta say that I only now realized I was still in the 6 theme instead of my customary (forum or board default), so inoffensive and comfortable I find the 6 theme - normally, no trouble remembering to change right back to what the vast majority sees when I check other themes, so I do believe I've got something good in the 6 theme...

..Val, would it be cool for me to move this exchange into the 6 thread in RC or the 6 theme thread in 6?  I want people to see that Building a Community Facebook promotion post, and nobody checks Site much except something new topped...

Well, I'm pleased that I only found two things in need of tweaking, running the Winter theme as default on this first day of winter.  Putting it back before I go to bed...

-I only realized just now I missed inflicting Ostara on everyone today for the first day of Spring.  I only found out it was solstice on the afternoon news and didn't think.  So I'm going to go change the default now, and run it till 10:30 tomorrow night.

It's always interesting, if a little hurtful, to track which regulars roll with it, and who switches out of the default...

Syn, I came in here to address you; I saw in your profile that you were in the default theme, not set to default, so I figure you've been using the right sidebar thing and checked some stuff out.  Feedback?  The snap impressions of a n00b who's been on CFC forever and is wrestling with themes a little at IALS ought to have serious value.  Whaddya tried?  Whadidya think?

I'm always eager to talk shop - I live over the shop.  Endless places here in Site to chat and ask questions and/or discuss...
