Either or. I prefer SMAX because of more features, but its up to you.

He AARs like wildfire, which does a lot to catch up with your painstakingly-crafted AAR epic.

Of course. Mind, I respect Green and he was the reason I started that AAR (and keep on to continue it) though as you said: My AAR has more similarities to an epic then a gameplay session.

But I like playing without most of the additional features that comes with SMAX. I will play the original SMAC with Kyrub's SMAC AI patch on transcend. The settings will be a huge planet with 30-50% ocean, with moderate erosive forces, average cloud cover, abundant native life, and the following custom rules.

This is the faction I will be playing as. Also, do not expect super tactics or staged games. That means I might lose.

I am going to research centauri ecology. Also, am exploring the landmass looking for a decent base site.
