Human Barbie comes to life in trailer for brutal slasher movie - the creepiest thing you'll see today The Doll movie sees Ukrainian model Valeria Lukyanova aka Human Barbie star as a knife wielding serial killer The Daily MirrorBy Danny Walker Updated 22:33, 11 May 2016
Barbie has finally come to life in the trailer for a Hollywood slasher movie . Valeria Lukyanova aka 30-year-old Human Barbie - the Ukrainian model who has made it her life’s ambition to mimic the famous American toy - is heading to a theatre near you.Starring in The Doll this is the first serious role of Valeria as the film will be presented at the Cannes Film Festival. The slasher movie sees a possessed doll (Valeria) ruin the lives of two friends and the trailer shows just how brutal, creepy and seriously weird the film looks. The Doll coming to a screen near youWhy aren't they running? The synopsis reads: Eddie (Anthony Del Negrois) and his friend Chris (Christopher Lenk) call out for an escort after Eddie’s girlfriend (Isabella Racco) breaks up with him and moves out of their house. Little do they know that while Natasha is a breathtaking beauty, she's really a possessed doll created by a mad doctor (Don Scribner) in an unholy laboratory and built with the urge to kill and dominate the minds of others to kill for her. What is going on in The Doll?Yes, time to run!Of the film, director, writer and producer, Susannah O’Brien said: "I loved filming with Valeria she was a natural she really is a true doll."She was a pleasure to work with took great direction worked the long hours and was a natural."There hasn't been a movie like this since Child's Play. To take a real life looking doll which people are naturally scared of dolls, and make Valeria who looks like a real life doll the killer, in a horror movie was a no brainer for me to write for Valeria. My psychology background helped me make this script and movie more intense.”The role seems perfect for Valeria.*Gulps* Erm, OK? Dubbed the Odessa Barbie she has spent years crafting her body and looks into a living replica of the doll. But new snaps from the making of her debut movie would leave Barbie's makers Mattel horrified. As well as her posing with the knife, she is shown with a shovel for grave digging and a voodoo doll.Valeria plays a life-sized doll assassin controlled by an invading alien in the science fiction shocker. She wrote: "A few black and white photos for you my dears."I've been missing you, soon we will be able to stay in touch all the time. Today is the last day filming! Yay!!"Still scary? She revealed that special contact lenses to give a spookier look were driving her mad.She said: "Filming is amazing. Even though it is very difficult. My poor eyes, I thought I'd go blind after wearing these contact lenses all the time."Striking a poseBut her out-of-this-world new look has gone down well with fans. One social media user on the local Internet forum 'Stat' said: "You have an amazing body. Keep on working out, and I wish all human girls had the same body as you do."
I don't think it's exactly what she'd have preferred - movie star attention and money is great if you want those things and she surely does; but it's hardly playing a prefect representative of the flying saucer people come to Earth on a mission to save us all teaching spiritual advancement. However, she'd have loved this in her mid-teens during what I understand was a goth troll phase - and she still doesn't avoid shocking, au contraire...
...I actually think that movie I described as her druthers could be a good great SF movie -starring her and her tiny waist and thick Slavic accent and weirdness and all likely making a convincing humanoid alien - with a sufficiently-smart script (not too bogged down in pushing her ideological agenda) and a good director...
