This means ENERGY and MINERAL restrictions are lifted. WE can now make crawlers and artillery as well.

Unfortunately, due to his possible entanglement with the Comrades across that fungus, he did not explore much

The larger known world:

While we have not found anymore Borg yet, we run into an Antimind spore launcher to the north.

Not a very pleasant creature. Demands Doctrine:Loyalty from us which we refuse.

We will have to watch these creatures...

Someone at this point has all commlinks as an election is called. Of course, since I have the population, I am easily elected.

I am also noticing most of the other factions appear to have low population.....

I am wondering why....

Well, we have found what I believe is the last compound of the Borg...

We run into a settlement of Stephanie of Lazytown.

She talks about baking cakes and asks us to leave her territory.

I comply, but only because I want to destroy the Borg first.

That Borg settlement is ours...

The Borg beg for truce, then surrender to us, but we will have none of it.

We will hunt them until they are no more.

Your diplomacy rating currently is wicked... Our..."good" sister doesn't have much rest does she?

Our two play styles are nearly polar opposites: I manage to be noble throughout the entire course of my game. I just demand techs and such if I want to piss off a computer and start war.

As for the low populations of all the other human...er human aligned factions that is unsettling. Something has been chewing them all up, and I have a bad feeling the Anti-mind has been getting fat dining on the flesh of the innocent EDIT That is a really poor choice of words thinking about it now... the Borg, Comrades, Jailbait, Lawyers and Oblivion? (I've read on the last a bit and watched Kilk's AAR)  ;lol

Since I now have infiltration on them, I think only Oblivion is at war with the Antimind. He used to have top population. I also see 2 Antimind units near Stephanie and I think Stephanie only has one base...

Miriam, played correctly, is played like this. With her research penalty and bonuses to attack, it is hard to be peaceful and still win.

I will say this, I am getting very spread out and right now a lot of bases are having to do stuff like recreation commons and recycle tanks and are not pumping out more troops. I could very well get over extended. I also need to road the entire empire and there is much too much fungus around eating my formers. I would lay off and solidify my holdings, But I have the momentum advantage and could lose that if I let these factions rest.

Indeed... mind I understand your situation, and with Miriam I'd probably be pretty ruthless as well, but I don't play Miriam that often. I've played every single faction at least once or twice, but I play my preferred favorites over the others more so.

On that note, the difficulty of this, what was it again? If its on Thinker+ I am surprised to see the factions so weak right now. Then again we haven't seen the anti-mind yet.

Thinker... but this is a small map, and I have been pressing these folks hard. Catching these guys off balance, backstabbing, etc.

Antimind I do worry about. I think Steph and Oblivion have been hurt bad by Antimind.

I may, depending on situation, get even more brutal. I am going to start strapping on chemical weapons.

Well... found the last of the Borg, and they are no more!

Interesting troop movements by Antimind...

Looks like the hardest fight for Miriam will be against the Overmind. It's kind of interesting how the Believers have such bad luck with the Planet and an overabundance of hostile native life with them. Even in certain stories and books its like that.

i think the combo small map & heavy fungus has crippled the expansion of the computer controlled factions. the AI just can't handle a poor landing spot.
Anyone else feels like it's time to fix the faction graphics bug?

Mhm, true. I am always a fungocidal maniac, I just kill all of the fungus near my bases unless I am playing Gaians or similar.

We estimate the during the next mission century most of Planet's industries will be moved off-planet to Nessus Prime and other orbital facilities. Many of our industries will benefit greatly from the low gravity environments available in space, particularly those involving genetically engineered microbes.
