Well, looking in the interlude text you could grope a couple titles inbetween.


Starting with 'Ascendant' perhaps, meaning uploading your personality into the fungal neural net.
After which the next step could be 'Undermind', meaning you ascend, but were a tad late.
The 'Overmind' is the next step, for those who linked up first with the nascent fungal neural net, while it was still in its infant state.
And after that there is the possibility to become the 'Matrix' itself.


You could reserve the latter for a million posts or something.  :o
