Anyone else notice how even the news channels are avoiding this subject because it doesn't shock anymore?

I mean, yes, there -IS- a new resurgence, and YES, the numbers are back up again, but it's BORING!
Blah blah blah, life or death, blah blah, still killing, snore and yawn, wearing masks and precautions... blah blah vax/anti-...
OMG! POLITICIANS ARE ARGUING OVER WHO CALLED WHO A DOODY-HEAD!  FULL COVERAGE!!!1!111!!eleven!!!   :o

Whatever.  Yes, is still a danger, and yes, I'm still being careful due to existing health concerns.  On the plus side, haven't been sick since this disaster began, so vax+mask(s)+distancing must do SOMETHING useful... def in favor, despite the discomfort and inconvenience.  DOUBLE Bonus, with a mask on, I'm making faces at people, and most don't even know it!  :P

...but that's just me being weird, prob'ly.

In all seriousness, until everyone gets smart (as in, sorry, not happening), this is gonna continue to be a thing.  :-\

You're not Yang, you can't control people... just yourself, so stay safe out there y'all.

I've been sickish for two weeks straight now, probably spring allergies, but who knows?

AFAIK, if you're not sick enough to be hospitalized, it shouldn't be Covid. The current version in circulation doesn't keep the average person sickish for that time if the symptoms are on the mild side.
Last week one of my colleagues came back to work after a Covid infection. He told me he felt sick for 5 days, flu-like symptoms. One day he had to spent in bed with a fever. He's about my age.

Something's kicking hEt's ass for the last 5 days.  At home tests are negative, but it is NOT like her to be down this long.

I think that's the crux of it. I'm a pessimist, but I really hoped we could have done better than a million dead.

Today I learned that my dad's cousin died in a nursing home, but I don't know if it was Covid yet. I considered her a friend. One of my dad's brother-in-laws died last month and another is on a ventilator, both cancers. I feel like I should attend the funerals should they occur since I'm in the same state. On the other hand, I was exposed to Covid yesterday. Not really worried about me, just that I might become a carrier.  Funerals are doubly sad since the pandemic began.

Covid Self-tests? Keep in mind they can give false negatives.
Over here, a person with symptoms would be sent for a PCR tests by a doctor.

I had it last winter. I had symptoms of the common cold, had a negative self-test, but the doctor took a PCR test anyway. Turned out negative, and I had a lenghtened weekend.

I received a booster vaccination in anticipation of the next surge of coronavirus cases and of the other students' negligent habits.

Well I’ve got the Covid now.

Most likely from being essentially the bus driver for Talia and friends to all of last weeks homecoming activities.

I hope Unorthodox recovers from Coronavirus without permanent side effects.

People of most age groups in the United States of America can now receive another booster. I recently scheduled an appointment for this booster with the updated coronavirus vaccination.

...How bad so far?...

Well, I had a day of absolutely miserable sinus headache.  And as a friend described that makes sense "feeling like I should have a fever, but I don't".  Like literally, at many stages I would have sworn I had 100+ temps, but all readings were normal.  Just a little weird.

However, unfortunately, smoke has socked in here from california fires, and it's impossible for me to separate between my normal smoke reactions and covid from there on out.

My original sinus problems have been gone, but I can't tell if the lung problems are lingering covid or normal smoke crap.

Wed was Sinus misery
Thursday was general not feeling like doing anything
Friday was WANTING to do [poop] but a distinct feeling that if I TRIED it would end poorly.  *it should be noted hEt drugged me with Unisom Thursday night.  These types of medications (first time for this one) sometimes do weird things to me and I might not have been fully clear of the sleeping pill much of Friday*
Saturday I felt good and went ape [poop], moved the next section of landscaping rocks, reorganized the garage, and cleaned the basement.
Sunday my body let me know how idiotic THAT was.

both Saturday and Sunday I slept more than usual as well, crashing on the couch a couple times.  So, energy is not 100% yet.

I'm doing well now, but if I do much physical activity my lungs rebel...but smoke makes that normal so maybe not covid's fault.

Might have some diminished smell/taste but not sure if it was more than normally would happen form a stuffed nose...  I'm not totally convinced my taste/smell is back to 100% now that problem is gone, but haven't really been testing it.  Nothing really to go off, but I can usually tell individual ingredients in something when I taste it, like give you a recipe almost.  Not so much the last few days, though I haven't exactly been eating anything complex enough to "need" that skill either.

I just want people to know that UnO ASKED for a sleeping pill…I take unisom and melatonin to sleep when I’m working, and he asked if I had something that might help him sleep….

More of a I'm thinking I should take benadryl just to help sleep, and you suggested the unisom instead.

I was in a weird tired but brain too active to sleep state at the time.

Rain the last few days cleaning out the air lets us know the lingering lung [poop] is covid.  Not really enough to be worrysome but enough to be annoying.  Nose seems to plug up at night as well.  Reading over cases, seems like I'm just going to be in a 20+ day stretch of this unless it turns for the worse at some point.

Planet's atmosphere, though a gasping death to humans and most animals, is paradise for Earth plants. The high nitrate content of the soil and the rich yellow sunlight bring an abundant harvest wherever adjustments can be made for the unusual soil conditions.
