I don't know. Frankly, from what I do know, I wouldn't trust the information coming out of Florida and probably Texas. The governors there have a habit of putting their thumbs on the scale at every opportunity to make things sound good so they can justify normal behavior/ tourism.

Today is a happy day. Me, my wife, and the hairdresser nieces got our second dose of Pfizer. YAY! So far, my arm isn't as sore as last time.

In the course of the discussion with the Army sargeant giving us the vaccine mentioned his world tours and how Milwaukee was different. Usually the police lay down the law when briefing the military. Here they tell us about all of the places to try beer, and if we got into trouble to call him and he'd try to help. The vaccination team were enjoying themselves every night.

My wife and the girls encouraged him to try Spotted Cow ( It's a farmhouse cream ale style craft brew), because you can only get it here.  I would have said the same had I thought of it. Fornicating Milwaukee. They may kill you driving the wrong way home on the expressways late at night, but face to face they're polite and kind to strangers.

Forgot to mention- My insider source says that the women who got the blood clots, etc. from the Johnson and Johnson were all using the same brand of birth control.  So I figure you're safe.

If they aren't going to issue any more of it in the USA, I sure wish they'd hurry up and send it to Latin America or the Caribbean.

Today we learned that the major vaccination centers in both the city and my county will be winding down, then closing. They are rapidly approaching the 60% mark, at which point federal funding will cease, and they will stop taking new patients. Then they will give second doses for 3 weeks.

After that, pharmacies and medical establishments will take over vaccinating. The Veteran's Administration will continue their efforts.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's an annual Covid shot with the Flu shot, for the same reasons- to keep current with the latest variants.

There's been a recent controversy on the vaccination front. The governor of Ohio came out with an incentive program to entice the reluctant people to get vaccinated. It's a lottery system. Five winners of $1million each for adults, five winners of a complete cost of education at a state university for the teens.

It's offensive to people who are dying in other countries without access to vaccines or adequate medical care.

It sounds like a good idea to me, in that it will entice those who are too selfish and stubborn to have already done their duty to each other.  Maybe if we had such an incentive for sitting on the couch or wearing a mask, it would have been contained at 60,000 dead instead of 600,000.

Finally. I received my invitation to be vaccinated. Now I have to make sure I don't get infected between now and when I get my shot (and at least midway to my second shot of course).
My first shot is conveniently scheduled in my first vacation week.

I received the Johnson and Johnson corona-virus vaccination on Monday. I experienced lethargy and soreness around the injection site yesterday. I have felt reduced symptoms on both fronts today.

I got the J & J ages ago, had no symptoms which I would not also expect from a flu shot.  Am now fine, walking around maskless, and waiting to find out if I got into the hospital I really wanted to work at.
