Today the arm is much better, although it's itchy. I'm trying to take it easy. I'm feeling sort of weak. That could be a combination of spring allergies and having a bad balance day. Regardless, my wife and I both took afternoon naps again.

Hospitalizations are on the rise in my state again.

Perhaps too forward, but...Rusty, IIRC, you were tested positive on Corona a couple months ago, weren't you?
I wondered if, because of a confirmed earlier infection, your vaccination dose(s) are injected with a different timeframe between shots, or if the second dose will even be omitted?

My Cousin is in the hospital with Covid. 

Not entirely shocked.  Asthmatic and overweight.  Hairdresser who was only wanting a guaranteed J&J shot since the others can't be trusted, and somewhat lax on the masks. 

~ 2 hours to shot 2 for me.

I can't really put a finger on it as the shot since inversion and I don't get along in the winter anyway, but this last weekend is the first time I've felt GOOD in a while.

Yes. I tested positive on a nose swab News Year's Eve.  That was confirmed with two antibody tests when I donated blood in March.

I don't really know. Things are in a state of flux. The vaccine supply seems to be increasing. My home county ( where the health department knows I am positive) has changed their vaccine sign up a couple of times. First I was to be prioritized and scheduled by my health care provider. Then they came up with new software and I had to sign up again with the county. They still haven't contacted me. I'm curious to see when they do.

I would agree that I would be low priority once I had a confirmed case, or that one dose of Pfizer about 3 months after an actual infection should provide adequate protection if the vaccine were in short supply.

In my case I signed up and went to the Federal Emergency Management Agency site in the civic arena in Milwaukee, a neighboring county. They were aware of my circumstances, but apparently they take a thousand doses of Pfizer out of hyper-freeze and reconstitute it with a saline solution every day, and Moderna , too. They'd rather put the vaccine to use than waste it. So they took us, and I'm confirmed for my second dose appointment.

Milwaukee County's health department is going into neighborhoods to try to reach the rest of it's citizens. Most of them are minorities and suspicious of becoming guinea pigs for an emergency authorization vaccine.

I'm not really sure what's going on. The Biden administration has doubled their vaccination goal. Maybe they are making it easier for those of us who want it to get it now. It's got to be easier for them to do that than to convince those who are at risk but don't want it it for various reasons to get it. Maybe they are in a race to get enough people vaccinated to end the pandemic before the virus can mutate enough that the existing vaccines don't prevent deaths and hospitalizations anymore.

My mother just got her second dose. My brother and his wife got their first doses in different counties on Friday. They all live in PA.

At any rate, I didn't expect to be fully vaccinated myself before June. I also expected a higher rate of compliance among the elderly, but in my county they were [Sleezebag] supporters.

Oh. My wife thinks she is back to normal today. I am, too. For me March and April are normally energized. I think it's the recovery/ recharge process from my mild form of Seasonal Affective Disorder. I'm always excited to be outside digging, chopping, burning, picking rocks, planting, or any form of physical activity in March and April that keeps me in the sunshine replenishing my vitamin D. ( Yes, I take a supplement year round. )

Today I was measuring for the blueberry bushes, and began cutting sod and shifting it from the back of the house to the front along the driveway we replaced last fall, among other things.

Shot 2 was more disorganized at the clinic. 

Weird hard to describe sensation started about 45 minutes after shot on that side of the body.  Lasts a few minutes in an area and has been slowly moving.  Behind my eye, hip, wrist, back of throat. Seems to be gone now. 

Of potential interest, I got right arm instead of left this time in case the same arm pain comes back this shot I want it on non-dominant side.

My son woke me up at midnight texting me for some reason.  Just random text.  He probably assumed I have my phone off, but I'm not allowed due to being on the emergency list at work.  Anyhow, at midnight my shot arm was VERY painful.  I would have slept through it if not otherwise awoken. 

Now, ~16 hours post shot, my arm is a bit sore and I have that same annoying headache at the base of my skull as last shot, but no other symptoms to report.

Taking it easy again today. In my enthusiasm for doing things outside  I managed to sprain a part of my ankle I'd never sprained before. 

I got 3 e-mail notices today saying I was eligible for appointments on the 7th, so that answers that question.

The county reports that now 78 point something % of seniors have received at least one dose. That's surprising considering it's a [Sleezebag] stronghold. So maybe it's more a matter of lagging data than refusal here.

Perhaps the [Sleezebags] are saying, "I"m not stupid, stupid!".

So I did get a low grade fever last night and kinda crashed.  Fever gone this morning, but the right shoulder from the bottom of my shoulder blade up my neck to the base of my skull is tight/muscle sore.

I was at SAM's Club today ( that's the warehouse club division of WalMart, Geo ) to pick up prescriptions for my wife. The pharmacist offered me  a Covid vaccine, saying they had Johnson and Johnson,  no waiting. I said I was already scheduled for my second dose, but thanks. She said "If you know anybody, let them know."

Frankly, the vaccine was only opened up to everybody 16 and older at the beginning of the week. I don't know whether to be excited about the availability, or horrified at the numbers of people here about who don't want to get vaccinated.

If it were like this with testing a year ago when Lyin' Mike Pence said that "Everybody who wants a test can get a test" I don't think we would have had a full blown epidemic in the USA.

Vaccination is accelerating now here. Both my parents are either scheduled for or have received their first shot. Mom isn't too happy, she will get an AstraZeneca vaccin, meaning her second dose will happen mid July.Government opened up subscriptions for people willing to take up the vaccin of people who don't show up or refuse it. The website opened up  last Tuesday, and already over half a million people subscriped. I haven't sofar, because they only notify people in the same age group. No use to put my name on the list before June.

I just got the Johnson & Johnson shot w/ no notice - allegedly, if I don't drop dead now and dodge the crows for two weeks, I'm in the clear.

Wisconsin has had over 1K new cases for the second consecutive day.
On the bright side, they vaccinated over 50K for the second consecutive day.

The highest concentrations of new cases are in the counties closest to Minneapolis.
