I just need the sun to last until the moon eats it in two and a half weeks.

Anywho, this thread has given me inspiration for a post about continuum subtraction, comets, explanatory power, and the dangers of overfitting.

nah nah you dont accept anything else ( i dont care for rascal fraud like you ) neither it depends on your believing or not believing. fact is fact.

so anyway who is accepting your evolution, big bang, moon landing, position of universe according to you, life comes from matter, this or that etc ?

who is accepting your nonsense imaginations ? since you cannot tell us the name of your 10th grandfathers, 10th grandfathers, grandfather. so how can you jump beyond him ? how ?

so who is accepting broken failure like you ? you are already broken cuz you cannot supply anything rational at all.

You know, in the 1960s the Beatles had a little stint with ISKON.

They did have fun doing some jam sessions with the locals and discovering new sounds to make millions off of. But having to undergo really strict diets and weird sensory deprivation meditation for hours, and having to deal with know it all egotistical "gurus" that used the young women recruits as a personal all you can eat salad bar, most of them left.

Religion as an oppressive relic of feudalism and ancestral societies
« Reply #48 on: August 10, 2017, 04:13:16 AM »
The presence of religion represents a potential danger for the average person because the sole purpose of religion remains to serve as a cohesive force among the disparate groups in a social circumstances through the application of a common moral code as dictated by the singular books in the compilation. The presence of the religion tends to hinder the ability of the individual to perform the necessary critical analysis of the sole purposes among the creation of a unified social group during the period when the population would solve the problems of the world through the application of a sword or other object to kill the opposition. The current period of capitalism in the world provides an excessive material abundance for a few individuals while the majority of people exist in a state of desperate poverty, and the capitalists employ massive weapons to subvert or subdue the opposition in the world. The governments employ the religions of the past as another tool to manipulate the population into the compliance in the contemporary period, and a rational person would seek to dispose of the artifacts from the distant past in pursuit of progress for the human race.

Religion's main call to fame is not it's principles or dogma. The common person only gives lip service to it nor cares. Most adherents of any religion do not follow every single point of it. Religion is access to friends and lovers, possible jobs, and services for the large majority of adherents.. It is a "check mark" in a box that lets you deal with others of that religion because you have something in common and are more likely to be trusted. If you lose that "check mark", you lose that network. You lose acceptance.

The problem is zealots, like the above poster. There are zealots for any religion imaginable. A zealot by themselves are just obsessive compulsive delusional crazies.

Good thing is most zealots are isolated people. They have no reason to become unisolated because the religion is not only their network, but the core of their very identity.

But, give them power and acceptance and the keys to networking within a huge demographic folks need/want with access to networking where you have to agree with what delusional stuff put out.... Those are the dangerous ones. The guy on the board of a large corporation and does part time on trade industry boads and non profits as well controlling who gets in someplace outside the church hierarchy. It can get very oppressive to anyone disagreeing very quick if even a few zealots take these rare positions in a community.

Of course the common folks do not say anything when this happens. If you have no problem paying lip service and you have that "check mark", good for you. You get ahead. You get the jobs, you are paying your rent, you meet people. The guy that disagrees should have pretended to get by and it's his fault. Too bad.

The outpouring of disgust resonates with  the derogatory programming of the American and European populations, and the actions represent the shame of ignorance and defeatist ideology. I intend to maintain a calm demeanor and reasonable tone. Why does the previous poster engage in argumentum ad hominem?
A mild criticism of the matter demonstrates the inability of the population to comprehend without the correct class conscience the ability of the religion to serve as a form of analgesic for the population as Karl Marx (1843) stated with the quotation on the religion serving as a means to subdue the brutal realities of capitalism through the creation of pleasant dreams (p. 1). A more contemporary example includes the soporific effects of the religion on the mind as the internet and contemporary pop culture attempts to stultify the workers. The sole purpose of the religion remains to divert the appropriate attention from the plight of the workers in the country through the inability of the population to empathize with the proletariat. The presence of the disgust demonstrates the inability of the population to recognize the importance of a movement in the acceptance of all religions while the people moves toward the realization of religion's true purpose as a university level sociology course would inform the subject on the matter, and the people need to sever the venomous ideology and noxious weeds of the bourgeois ideology because the religious movements tend to buttress the action in a demonstrable manner. The people need to dispel the matrix of religion through the struggle of the proletariat to remove the yoke of religion as a means of control.

He held his arm too stiffly, and so was thrown back repeatedly, until at last I seized his forearm and snapped it back against itself. His training suffered while the arm healed, of course, but I felt this was a lesson he must learn early, and well.
