Try the latest, 3.5, but use also the newest correction, 3.5c I believe?
The patch is also integrated with PRACX so additionally it should be enabled too.

i tried reinstalling the game and the patch.. but to tell you the truth. i am lost.. i don't know how to tell if patch works. cause when i click the terranx thing that downloads, it just opens a window but quickly shuts it.. that's all i get from yitzi.

Did you install the .exe file from the patch into the same location that the original .exe was?  (If you want a backup of the original, you can rename it so it isn't overwritten).  The only time I've gotten a "opens window but quickly shuts it" problem with SMACX was when I ran the executable from the wrong directory.

If so: Was it working properly before you installed the patch?

Hmm...so, just to get this straight: It was working, then you installed the patch (overwriting the old version) and now it doesn't work?

I don't know, if this is what you have done, but maybe open directly game folder. and start the game by clicking terranx.exe
The name "terranx.exe" does not really need to be it. You can rename it, so maybe place patch exe with some addition, like:
terranx_3_5.exe or something like that to keep it distinct.
Remember also, that all files are needed from patch, e.g. PRACX files.

The 3.5 patch must be downloaded before the 3.5c patch, because it contains necessary text files. (The PatchReadme.txt in 3.5 explains which ones Must be copied to the game directory.)

The game executable does indeed need to be terranx.exe - I found this out myself.

You can certainly rename any previous terranx.exe you want to keep with their version numbers as a reminder. I have all of the patches since 33b in a separate folder.

Ah, yes. Previously different exe names were working. Now they do not.

This isn't his problem, though; failure to do that will give an error message, not just a game crash.

Renaming doesn't cause problems for me...

I remember renaming was working previously, but was it around PRACX patch it stopped working?
Maybe now it works. Possibly only PRACX patch applied alone has this "terranx.exe" required name.
Or, it depends how one starts the game.
