Well, back around late 2012 or early 2013 I had an account.  Probably had 2 whole posts back then, as I am not much of a SMACer.  Something happened, and my account got lost, but no biggie, just made a new one!  But, BU came by to say hi over at WPC and I figured I would see the changes over here.

I'm deeply bothered by the notion of a member account vanishing without a trace -the name Spacy shouldn't have been available again, for one thing- so I'm wondering if this isn't a misremembering problem.  Here's all the members with two posts, and their registration date:

I wondered the same thing, then concluded that if they named a Civ V expansion something like  "Rusts and Edges" I'd be tempted to change my name, too.

Where are you living these days, and how is your family?

Got the name Spacy when I was playing Eve Online.   

Got tired of Godking as I had a lot of folks over the years come up to me and ask me religious Q's - but the reality is that I am about as agnostic as they come.  Godking was kinda a joke 20 odd years ago, "It is good to be the king, but it is better to be the GodKing!" was a really bad joke from a series of really really bad scifi books who I cannot even remember their title and author any more.  I just haven't bothered changing my nickname as in the Civ community I am known as GK and, well, have been kinda lazy.  However, account made in the past 5 years or so I have generally tried to use Spacy as the new nickname. 

Pretty sure I made the account, but whether I made any posts is a completely different matter.  I might have made the account and then never gotten the auto-email activating it.  I searched my email, and I didn't find any activation account emails.  So, if the account is never activated, the name was probably still available, and I was able to reclaim it.  Perhaps I didn't (and thought I did) and just lurked a couple of times.  Who knows.  Not that big of a deal to me.
