Email notifications

Over the past few days I see that quite a few replies have been posted in threads I've replied/subscribed to, but I haven't been getting email notifications of those replies. I haven't made any changes in my account recently, and the things I did change had nothing to do with the my thread subscriptions.
CFC's servers didn't sneeze on ours, did they?

Are you suddenly getting no notifications, or just not some of them?

Looking at your notifications page, I see you should have gotten seven or eight yesterday - I'll try to release the tech hounds...

I'm automatically subscribed to any thread I start or reply to. I did not get any notification of your post above or any others.

I seem to not get any since ~march 16th, for the only thread I have a subscription for. I used to get mail notification for it before then.. (just so you don't feel alone I don't really look at them anyways)

I don't use them at all - never have; I just read everything.

You're right. Email notifications are down.

Normally, they go through Sisko's email account, maybe it's something he's done?

Anyway, I'll poke around in the settings dialogue. If I can't fix it to work with Sisko's account again, I'll set up another account.

(This is another case where control of the AC2 DNS servers would be useful).

Notifications are now set to be sent from [email protected] and seem to be working again. Technical details for future maintenance are in the Tech Stuff thread.
