Nope, I was truly dumbfounded. So thank you for the clarification

I do, and I'm frequently impressed with your ability to make a joke in English. Ask me for a clarification or an explanation any time.

I don't know.
The Democratic governor is trying to manage a pandemic,
The GOP legislature by staying out of session and the Tavern Owner's Association in the courts are trying to thwart him.

They are opening the emergency hospital that the corps of engineers set up this spring in the main exhibit building on the state fair grounds. It's finally reached the point where we need it.

The tragedy is that we could have managed and mitigated this pandemic if it hadn't been politicized. Like the nation, WI failed the quarantine, testing & contact tracing, and the mask wearing/social distancing challenges. Always within reach, but the cooperative majority was thwarted by a defiant minority each time.

Let's see....

Got the oak planted, mulched, etc. and the excess subsoil scattered. Harvested sweet potatoes and moved the vines into the basement under the grow lights. It was working well until I had an aphid outbreak. Eventually I found some insecticidal soap and treated them. Now I'm wondering about planting shallots with the sweet potatoes to keep the aphids away.

Didn't apply another coat of finish to the front door. I did change the lock to one with a keypad and a key. I can add a module to make it a smart lock, but I'm suspicious that smart locks and smart garage doors will become the targets of hackers in the near future.

Next year I'm going to add window boxes, same painted rough cedar as the house. I did plant day lilies around my deck.

Meanwhile, I feel like planting more stuff. I have a backordered tree that was suppose to be here in spring, but they keep changing the dates on me. I ordered more daffodils as soon as I planted what I had. Not here yet. Today I'm thinking about berry bushes.

We got snow this morning. So, I think I'll scrap my tentative plan for buying and planting more stuff. I'll settle for what I've already ordered...if it arrives this year.  I'm changing my focus to planning the Halloween/Christmas decoration transition.

Oh, highest predicted temperature of the day. Meaning some time in the afternoon it peaks at that.
Lowest would be 12° C (about 53 F)

Still darn better then this morning's temperature: 7.5° C (45 F) according to my car's thermometer.

Update.
My mulberry tree shall arrive in Spring. I dug out the front door planter, put in a few inches of sand, mounted a pair of heating cables on hardware cloth, covered it with potting soil, replanted the crocus as well as the remainder of the new ones I bought this year, covered it with top soil.

All of the Christmas decorations are in place for the year. My goal this year is to complete a project before starting another. Doing well, although I should apply the last of the white sealer to the basement wall and tear off the masking tape.

Next project will be to order blueberry bushes for next year.

As far as the sweet potato aphid war, it was a long campaign, but I eventually threw in the towel and cut of all of the foliage, stuffed it in a trash bag, then hauled it outside to the composter. No sign of aphids yet on the re-growth, but there are some fungus flies.

Meanwhile my car doesn't start. The next step will be to charge the battery (yet again), measure the voltage , run the headlights for a while, wait, then test the voltage again. If it's lower, it suggests a bad cell in my sealed battery. A new tester arrives Monday.

Also, a now and then  running water sound from the toilet has been isolated to the float jamming rather than the handle linkage. So I have to get the mechanism and swap it out.

Industrial Grade Nano-Paste, one of Planet's most valuable commodities, can also be one of its most dangerous. Simply pour out several canisters, slide in a programming transponder, and step well away while the stuff cooks. In under an hour the nano will use available materials to assemble a small factory, a hovertank, or enough rifles to equip a regiment.
