Yes, you read that right. I offer help in both forming faction sprites and giving ideas, as well as voice acting!

Allow me to introduce myself. I am ComradeCrimson, voice actor and an experienced modder- I've voice acted in many projects and I am fairly experienced in many aspects of spritework that could be used for bases here as well as voice acting those faction blurbs you want.

I've done lots of work for different projects, and any sort of accent or male voice, (Or female if you like Dr.Girlfriend from the Venture Brothers!) I am capable of. I use professional equipment- a Blue Yeti Microphone with a self made sound booth; so whatever sort of stuff you want from me, PM me or post on this thread!

For my starting project, JarlWolf; I am going to do your faction voices first and send them to you via email as you contacted me to do.

BTW, Maniac came by promptly to have a look at this thread after I pinged him, and I see that I imagined pinging Kilkakon this morning and he's asleep for a few more hours, but he can almost definitely think of some work for you on a C&C mod he's doing, so expect him in 4-5 hours if he don't chicken out...



Tell/show us a little about the sprite services - you'll draw more interest that way than depending on people clicking a link...

Sure thing.

Here's some examples of work I did for the Crystallized Doom mod for Tiberian Sun (Now OpenRA):









I used some assets from inside the game, and I am both capable of making my own original work and chopping from other sources. I don't know if I am going to bother making my own custom factions just yet as there seems to be a lot of pretty nifty ones already, but I'll certainly help folks with their own for now.

And if this Kilkakon fellow is making their own CnC mod, do you mind telling me its name or linking me its moddb page? (If it has one of course) I can PM him on there too.

My tools of the trade are mostly GIMP n stuff.

Oh and if you're wondering about the buildings and their intention:

From top to bottom is the Forgotten Barracks, Forgotten Powerplant, Forgotten Vehicle Garage and Forgotten Tiberium Refinery.

The Forgotten are a race of mutant wasteland warlords who survive in the "Yellow" and outskirts of the "Red" zones in the Tiberian Sun version of Earth; these places being infested with the alien crystal substance known as Tiberium which has toxic and mutative properties. However, the substance is also comprised of valuable minerals, and the crystal seems to spread and grow like an organic substance which means its abundant.

Thanks. If you need any specific voice acting for your mod Kilkakon just PM me and provide me an email address so I can send you the audio files.

Gave a look to it; factions seem a lil odd but I reckon you got a custom story with it.

Is there any projects here that need any spritework or voicework done besides Jarl's? I'm a resource to be abused folks; throw everything at me and I'll get it done. I operate very fast when I get down to it and produce a lot of content when I get the chance. Just tell me an email I can send it to and if you prefer WAV or MP3 format.

I didn't realise OpenRA supported Tiberian Sun! TS was one of the first games I really got into.

Do you anything about how well it runs? Could you recommend some favourite TS/OpenRA mods?

Also, great sprites! I made a couple of really basic sprites (just recolours, really) for TS when I was much younger. I can't remember what my mod was about now, nothing actually useful, I'm sure!

Crystallized Doom is the only notable mod that has switched over from Tiberian Sun engine to the OpenRA engine. The OpenRA engine supports Dune, Red Alert 1, Red Alert 2 (to an extent, very WIP) Tiberian Sun and Tiberium Dawn.

Tiberian Sun is definitely a port where all the features are not there yet, but its constantly worked on an updated and Crystallized Doom is definitely pioneering a lot of things. OpenRA removes a lot of the restrictions Tiberian Sun has- like whilst in the Tiberian Sun engine the CD team was able to add 2 whole new factions to the game with their own units and stuff, OpenRA has allowed us to transcend beyond that and add stuff like upgrades and technologies akin to stuff like Generals Zero Hour. You can even do stuff like choosing a faction ingame through special "sub-faction" upgrades and a whole wack of stuff. Add in custom voice overs (many of them done by yours truly.) you have a pretty cool mod to play with.

Its not available to the public just yet, as were still doing balancing and adding content to all the factions. Its working by a tier by tier basis; current stage were at is tier 3 and 4, as tier 1 and 2 is already figured out and balanced.

Crimson has given me voice files while back, I will be uploading them soon. He do voice for Imperium, Valhallans, and Iron regime, as well as Wanderers of Chiron faction. I will be uploading new update to pack with voice files soon.
