Revolutions...  Yeah, I know it's a maligned civ lite. 

Seriously Civ Revolutions had a REAL opportunity to resurrect these.  You had these animated advisors popping up all the time...BUT THEY SPOKE IN GIBBERISH!!!  HAD they made with the lighthearted banter of Civ II years, I would have actually played that game more...as it was "Fallum fallum" every five seconds made me want to strangle the (what was that word I decided to use?) vituperator every time she popped up.

Hey; how tough would it be to work up some Civ2 MP, do y'all think?  I bet we could talk McMonkey into coming over and helping us get stated, and I happen to know the owners of this forum, so a dedicated sub could happen if needed...

I don't know for sure that McMonkey has a real name; he's pretty much the leader of the Civ2 community at CFC, formerly of 'poly.  We talked a bit about the profit for his circle to encourage Civ2 other places when I was making a little project of trying to bring life to II forum at the Pond.  He said he was convinced and he did post some content, but nothing otherwise came of it because I ran out of II avatars and anything new to say by myself shortly thereafter - but he was still at it the last time I looked in at the Camp.

SO - interest in II-head MP, anyone?

There was some release of civ2: Test of Time.
It had new graphics and also animation. Some new soundtracks?
I still should have a copy of it somewhere.
And I recommend it too to check, if someone hasn't seen it yet.
