My first impression of the place was, there's a woodcarver involved that --- we're not worthy.  I have some talent, and I'm good at what I do, and I know it, and am a pretty good woodcarver myself; but - WOW.





This place has a marketing problem - that Valdese is not a great location, and that nothing about it stands out so anybody knows it's there.  Not a lot of people turned out and saw us in the 2+ hours we were in back demonstrating.  (Though it was pleasant enough that I would have stayed a lot longer if Buster hadn't run out of anything to do and the florescent lights were getting to Mylochka's brain.  Buster's Daddy, at least, seemed to feel supported, and was very pleased - and I got a lot of work done on a nice base, so definitely not a wash.)  I'm thinking about it.  -For one thing, it needs a website.  If only there were artists involved with some .htm skills who owned a webs domain...

Lots of stuff on that website.  I agree that displaying the masks on a net above the back would display them better and attract attention.

Ok.  Those stained glass BETTER be backlit at night. 

That is begging for a marquee up top as well.  Some color up there now would help draw the eye. 



The one place we get some color and we're hiding it with golden ribbon on those wreaths.  RED!  Need RED to accent those wreaths, not gold, which blends too well with the stone façade. 



ACK!  those silhouettes need to go.  Valuable advertising real estate being eaten by white blandness.
