Go ahead and start the thread as you wish. No need to ask for permission :)
Everybody has things they want to say that don't deserve a fully-blown thread. So I made this.

A few questions to pose to this community.

1. Why does Doctrine: Air Power require Doctrine: Flexibility and not Doctrine: Initiative as a prerequisite? The blurb specifically mentions that air power rests at the apex of mobility, flexibility and initiative.
2. Does the icon/logo for Doctrine: Loyalty look like a stylized s?

Statements:
1. The blurb for Sentient Econometrics has no bearing on what the technology is supposed to represent.

I'd say its because Flexibility is the most basic one of the two. Also, this way one could have air jnits before cruisers. A matter of strategic researching choices.

I am currently rearranging tech tree for a mod. And this is a great remark as to implement such change.
However, cruisers would be switched with foils, and I wonder, if foils should be in Initiative tech or maybe even further. Initiative tech is good to host some of the marine/naval stuff, that was added with crossfire expansion.

Good question.  They probably originally planned to have it be after Initiative, and then decided that Doctrine:Initiative would be too powerful if it were a prerequisite for a midgame tech.  Unfortunately, Doctrine: Air Power is too powerful if it has such an early tech as one of its prerequisites...

Probably, but it's still one of the most important blurbs in the game.

Which of the original seven factions do you think makes the most logical sense to get the Impunity bonus and which one the Penalty Negative effect? What social model do you think that bonus or penalty should apply to?

Well, I'm now in my third month and don't plan to leave.

I tried doing some quizzes.
Is it bad that I did better at Lord of the Rings then World Geography 1?

I did read the Fellowship of the Ring.
Admittedly I watched all of the movies first.

A lot of people disagree, but I think The Simarillion rocks beyond despcription, too - maybe you had to read the Bible a lot as a kid for fun, because it reads similarly.

I read The Complete Original Sherlock Holmes in four nights. It took me two months to read The Silmarillion.

Well, it's very sketchy in places - but a wonderful and deep narrative, on the whole.  -And you spot things referenced as far back as The Hobbit that you didn't get when you first read it.  Tolkien really had a lot worked out in that world, and a familiarity with The Silmarillion adds enormously to your future enjoyment of re-reads of the rest of the books.
