Mandatory training on a tangental field to my particular area of expertise, but something I've only really been doing for a couple years. 

blah blah, gabby gabby, half paying attention, oh, they're changing the links, update my links. 

in the chatroom, question one...I'm bored, so I answer it. 
chatroom erupts with a slew of what about scenarios, and I'm just answering them left and right and explain Uno's 3 step rule to the entire process. 

Training ends, open to questions.

Presenters get stumped on Q1 from group.  Unmute my mic, answer the question. 
Presenters get stumped on Q2 from group.  someone else pipes up 'just read the chat and follow Uno's process.' 

Presenters unaware there was a chat, start reading the questions therein out loud.  'I'll have to look that situation up...oh, Uno answered that..."x5 into an uncomfortable "if you ever have any other questions feel free to contact us for answers..."

I was telling Mom yesterday how you never SAY you know you're the smartest guy in the room - but you school college boys for a living...

In some ways, I'd have been better off going on work release for my senior year of HS, but then I'd have not married hEt, and would be miserable. 

I was quite utterly bored with AP chemistry and Physics (even the experiments quickly grew boring as I'd done 90% of them on my own), to the point I simply calculated I could pull a C and graduate by never going to those classes and simply showing up on Fridays to ace the tests.  Meanwhile I was paying more attention to hEt than my AP psych class.  The rest of my schedule was various fluff classes I actually use such as photography and sculpting, and only managed to squeak by my 'citizenship' requirements for graduating thanks to becoming a pier counselor more as an excuse to see hEt more, but probably helped a few people at the same time. 

So, yes, I graduated. 

hEt knew what she wanted to go into at University, so I got a job to support that.   

8 years later I needed to move on, and got into this field based purely on the fact that I had 'mowed the lawn' of my parent's neighbor, and she was a manager at Boeing.  (Mowed the lawn is my common phrase, it really was another one of my illegal businesses in the sense that I really SHOULD have had a business license, but ages ~12-14, in addition to working the farm, I did 'lawn care', but didn't stop there at one point owning several lawn mowers and other equipment, and organizing kids in the neighborhood to do work.  This particular house was empty/up for sale for 2 years, I had been contracted by the owner living out of state to care for the yard, watering and mowing.  Over the course of the 2 years, I had negotiated my way into weeding, planting the garden, and re-painting the house by sending pics and proposals back and forth to him through the mail.  He was on my contact list for my resumes for a good long time and most people were fairly shocked to hear I was the caretaker of the place.  Boeing lady moved in, and was suitably shocked a teen was caretaker, and hired me to continue some aspects) 

Anyway, she explained there'd always be work in this field, so I started and decided to cross train whenever an opportunity presented itself. 

As a result, I'm usually the person in the room with the best grasp of the big picture and how things all fit together, but everyone else will smoke me on their particular specialty.  Add to that my job title REALLY doesn't reflect that I should know ANYTHING about ANY of it, and it does cause hilarity at times. 

This particular training, however, is a side shoot to my title, which I more or less can do in my sleep these days, and have experienced such a vast range of scenarios that there's very few situations I haven't seen.  Thus answering the questions.

With the landing of Perseverance in mind, ever dreamt of landing a skeleton on Mars?Astronaut flesh around entirely optional, of course.

About 8 years ago, we put a co-workers ashes into space...

But, a skeleton...that's actually a really good cost-weight to launch...it would be the space more than the weight that would make it problematic.

I'm a little worried on the big one's flash, where I'm fairly well known as the weird epilepsy safe guy to begin with.
