Lets see.  If my normal job was trains, the new development would be about motorcycles.

I don't know much about motorcycles, and am not sure why they asked me over here, but I know that despite not being on rails, motorcycles still have DoT rules they'd need to follow.

Ah, k....  figured it was something around that area.  Well you DO know how to sort out the BS from the small nuggets of useful information to get things to work.  But then, there is so much entrenched (by others, usually the various circus entities that have their empires to build and maintain) in to said BS that they don't want to (and even attempt to make you go away in various respects) involved and won't listen as it is.  BUT, there are others whom are finally clue-ing in to your methods and all, so...

That's kinda the thing, I've more or less written the rules for the trains.  Bicycles, not so much, and for whatever reason people are adamantly opposed to me asking questions, but one thing I've NEVER done is put my name on something I'm not comfortable with.

That was kind of drilled into me from working on the farm, if you wouldn't want to eat it, don't sell it.  Even if you knew it was perfectly fine, but just LOOKED wrong, you don't put it out there or it taints your reputation as a quality farm.

I've kinda carried that with me throughout my career, from making whoppers at BK, to inspecting filters for Fram, to my area now.  I get someone else wrote the playbook for the bicycles, but if you wanted someone to just sign off because you're telling them it's good, you picked the wrong person, we're going to go over this step by step until I get my questions answered.

Response to my attitude on this is always mixed.  I get equally accused of making things more difficult than they need to be and praised for saving various [poop] shows.  One thing that hasn't happened yet, however, is my programs ever being found at fault.  I've more investigations against my programs than anyone else in the train business for a reason.  0 findings against me.  Those with findings don't stick around long.

And Trains are such a thing of the past....  just won't stand up to this bright new shiny that someone(s) needs to have to keep their jobs and feather their nests with.  And the funds that are used to keep the Trains on scheduled should be diverted to their new Jetpacks or some other thingy, when they know that it's always best to keep the older for as long as you can, while the new stuff DOES prove their worth...

Processing some pics from super secret anniversary trip.  I think some of these are likely getting printed.  Q:  As shot or black and white?  (or I suppose I could go opposite and boost saturation...)

I'm not traditionally a huge fan of boosting saturation but here you go....

I took a gamble on a projector that went on sale for Prime day and it's surprisingly capable.  Which has led to a rabbit hole of downloading digital decorations to become the centerpiece for our display.  First non-walkthrough since the first year we moved in.

Sharing here requires more effort with the whole loading to a host thing.

We're into phase 2 of TEH PLAN.  (I've purposely moved to phases instead of years, as I don't think I'll finish on year three any longer)

Trevor 2.0 was phase 1 of a total yard redesign.

The arch is the first part of Phase 2, and there's some disagreement on the rest of phase 2.  But, the arch is going to be a right and proper ENTRANCE, which we really haven't had.

As with Trevor, this is purposely made to be marketable when I'm done with it. The rest of phase 2 is supposed to be a fence to go with the arch, and there's where the argument begins.

The MARKETABLE thing to do is to do the standard halloween fence:   http://www.stolloween.com/?page_id=6308

But then, I've already screwed up going pure marketable with the arch.  The standard thing to do would have been two pillars as the entrance.  But, the more I tried to make it feel like it belonged with the path and the circle, the more the arch really seemed to fit better.

And the more I worked on the arch, the more the standard fence really seems to not feel right, and the more I've been leaning towards ruined rock wall, which presents numberous opportunities for phase 3...which I won't be sharing concept art of just yet, only the immediate family has seen pieces of that.

I will say the arch was up for all of 30 minutes or so, but it was getting a big reaction from those that saw it.  Progress pics on more Halloween oriented locations got some expected reactions:  A mix of those who are REALLY bothered that the arch is not perfect, and those that really love how the imperfection seems to give it an age.

And overall, I find this boring, so it's slow going.  Though Talia and I stumbled on a way to speed it up, I think.

Well, I more or less got discouraged about finishing the wall when we decided to cancel the party, and was at something of a loss for what we were doing for the yard.

Anyhow, cheap paper tablecloth, and projector test, it somehow worked out the arch is perfect size for projecting in profile.  As in, it almost looks like I planned it for this.  From entrance to great backdrop and accent.

Army getting ready to get set up.  Waiting to see wind forecasts for the storm coming Saturday.

And really low effort tombstone for 2020.

Cool. I agree with the concept.

Although...there is a part of me that would like to see a pair of pillars with Uno monsters perched on them just because I like to see Uno monsters.

I don't draw well, but concept art with ruined wall concept

If I determine the enemy's disposition of forces while I have no perceptible form, I can concentrate my forces while the enemy is fragmented. The pinnacle of military deployment approaches the formless: if it is formless, then even the deepest spy cannot discern it nor the wise make plans against it.
