And the price is very high and they very likely make a fairly large profit (as they obliviously mass produce/mass purchase the basic robotic elements and just reuse for all of their things), you might be able to Sue them for I.P. rights.

Problem is, there are only so many things that you can do with a pumpkin that it would not be hard for someone to come up with something similar on their own, especially when dealing with animatronics (sp).  Or to take elements of several other things they have seen in other places (one of which could possibly even be your website) and combine them into something else that fits the bill.

But no matter, you might have a case against them...

Oh, Father is a mashup from the get go.  I'd have no case there.

Take a bit of Skull'N'Bones, add a dash of Pumpkinrot concept, and toss in Unorthodox lighting and styles.

But this was clearly modeled after Father's unique combination thereof.  More upset at how poorly it's done to be honest.  Piss poor lighting on the prop itself.

Speaking of random.

For the first time since...2008 by the looks of it...we have actual Christmas decorations to put up in the yard this year.

Most of you should be able to guess as to their nature.

Debating how offensive having a Jesus would be, actually.

Pretty offensive, I'd think.

I'm strongly considering Trevor 2.0 for next year.

Interesting the advance of interest in the subject since Trevor 1.0.

Many more places cataloging Transi tombs.  Several restoration projects.  2 new wiki pages.  Preferred search terms are now Cadaver tomb or Momento Mori tomb when previously only Transi would bring things up.

So...

Several things have me considering Trevor 2.0

First, Trevor was awesome.
Second, I'm probably sticking with a graveyard next year because I need more of the coconut stuff, and likely have time in the spring that won't be spent rebuilding the yard.
Third, I have several ideas for improvement.

Ever used Apoxie sculpt BU?  https://www.avesstudio.com/shop/apoxie-sculpt/

Waterproof, UV resistant clay...

Along with the case epoxy bandages I have sitting in storage, I could make an EXTREMELY durable Trevor.

I could also make a collapsible tomb...but that won't work if I want it to do the fog, it'd leak.  So, fog or collapse decision.  Collapse could be a lot shorter as well, not needing the ice and machine guts.

First I've ever heard of Apoxie sculpt.

Couldn't you work up some sort of lining to make fog work w/ collapse?

Perhaps.  But the hundredish lbs of ice also would present difficulties.

Some other effects could be easily added, a rumbler or slider on the lid, for instance, with just a bright light inside.

Actually, looking back at tests, I might even be able to get away without a huge fog machine production inside.  Just the hollow box with the fog coming out from under the pleurant this time.  Keep them right at grass level and let the natural cold and frost on the grass work as the chiller.  I've put that natural chiller to good effect in the past.  It would have to be more a mist than a solid blanket like last time though.

Some kind of blower to stir the fog?

Just a volume adjustment on the machine.  Too much and you'd warm the grass too much.

Or I could try for the cumulus machine...but that's likely way out of my budget.

Unless...

There are two kinds of scientific progress, the methodical experimentation and categorization, which gradually extend the boundaries of knowledge, and the revolutionary leap of genius which redefines and transcends those boundaries. Acknowledging our debt to the former, we yearn, nonetheless, for the latter.
