...in answer to your questions, I am most likely not a bot, and I am introducing myself to you now for two reasons:

1) I have recently fallen in love with SMAC/X, after having played it once as a kid and rediscovering it a couple months ago.

2) After finding out that I could create custom factions and doing a bit of looking around for help, I discovered this place, which helped a lot. And then I saw that "Lurkers" sign. Also you seem like pretty neat people, so hey.

I found the site via a google search!  I love SMAC/SMAX, especially the lore surrounding the game.  I'm probably the only person who's favorite faction leader is Miriam.

I'm mostly posting in this thread to ask a question:  I have scanned copies of the GURPs book, the comic, and I've also scanned the first SMAC novel (I'll work on scanning the other two unless someone else has them scanned in!!)  Would anyone be interested in them?  I'd post them openly, but I'm not sure if you guys care about the legality of those sorts of things.

I'd like a copy of those things, mind, in case we can think of any legal uses, but, keeping in mind that we can't read your PMs, I think we cannot condone the abuse of someone's copyright, even on out-of print publications...

I can just install something.  First, try going to your profile>Forum Profile in the left sidebar>Click Choose avatar from gallery>dig through the 800+ available>either pick something or come back and describe what custom avatar you'd like me to make for you.
