  Not so young- 67. Found the site while searching for info on SMAC. Downloaded games from Old-Games.com
Used to own Alpha Centauri, but never played it much. Getting re-interested, re-learning basics.

You've come to the right place, sir.  We cherish our young, at AC2, but skew middle-aged - I'm 53, old enough that I just had to count to be sure I got that right.  It's formal policy that we encourage fun, but expect maturity.

I've been an occasional AC player since about when it came out. Recently got Alien Crossfire from Good Old Games. Only played that a couple of time.

Salvaging files from a computer meltdown... sorry for long silence... and I mean like LITERAL meltdown... after I got fed up with WinDURR's and its buggy-ness, I bashed it about for a while, then tossed it into a raging campfire.  Now my art computer is suffering I/O failure, so trying to gather up the SMAC(x) factions I've been working on for way too long now.


OH!!   Can anyone tell me how to get SMAC up and running on Linux?  New compy with a O/S that WORKS is yummy! 
...just no Alpha Centauri.
