; FACTION FILE: Shroom Farmers

; The "Shroom farmers" is a native faction built around making Fungus squares viable for resource farming.
; It is essentially a parody of the Gaians, and is partially inspired by the custom faction "Cannabis League" which is not from me.
; It is balanced to be of a similar strength level as the 'strong' factions of the game (e.g Zakharov, Yang or Aki-Zeta 5)
; and offers a relatively fair matchup against existing factions.
; Strengths :
; - Rapid early game expansion thanks to infinite early 2/1/1 fungus tiles (yes, even with the growth and industry penalty, they just prevent it from being broken)
; - Solid research bonus (comparable to Zakharov or Aki-Zeta, although ultimately much lower than these because you don't have Free Market)
; - Great bonuses to native units, with both the +1 lifecycle from free biology labs and a hardcoded +10% psi
; - Great police. Worm Police + Brood Pit police : 3 Mind Worms quell up to 6 drones per city, 9 with the Ascetic Virtues. Stoners don't revolt when they're tripping ;)
; - Can skip Tree Farms / Hybrid Forests completely because they use Fungus tiles -> lots of free building time and need way less terraforming than the other factions
; Weaknesses :
; - No Free Market
; - No Population Booms without golden ages
; - Need Centauri Genetics and Centauri Psi to fully take advantage of Fungus, which come online significantly later than Hybrid Forests, for similar 3/2/2 tiles
; - No planet bonus -> not a worm rush faction the way the Gaians or Cult are
; - Industry penalty is deceptively crippling for army strength and secret projects (just look at Santiago, it's her only downside).
Note : "research speed increased by 25%" is the same as "tech cost reduced to 80%".
