This doesn't happen often, just once in a while: a post has the numeral "8" followed by the closing parenthesis ")" resulting in the sunglasses "cool" smilie "" where it might not fit the context and sometimes be inappropriate. It's very insignificant, and most often amusing, but I'm wondering if it can be modified to use just "8 - )" and not convert "8 )"?

If it was just up to me, I'd change it - that happens a lot in serious science news stories about the first week of every month.  -But sisko HATES it when smile codes are changed and a lot of old post suddenly have garbage in them.

Talk him into it, and we're golden - I don't feel strongly enough about it to override his wishes.

I still am trying to wrap my head around image sequences in GIMP which is pretty sad, so I used a program. I have the raw files though
