Making IRC alive
« on: February 05, 2013, 08:20:01 PM »
Something I'm missing in this community is real time chat. We've got IRC, but it's dead. Always.

I'm going to resolve to keep a tab of IRC open when I'm around (which is a large chunk of most weekdays), and it would be really good if the other active members could try to do the same. There's lots of little things on the wiki I'd like to be able to ask people to help with, or ask for opinions on, which a forum is not really the right tool for. And I'd like to just be able to chat about my games and custom factions and stuff..

So come on, try to do the same and keep it open whenever you're around, it's just one more tab :)

Despite lack of replies this has actually helped a lot, I've had a couple of very useful conversations with BU and one with testdummy. Still many of you I'd like to be able to talk to, but definitely progress.

This unusual specimen is not so much a classic particle as a connector?a kind of string attaching two particles. As distance increases the connective power becomes attenuated, but if it is cut the power vanishes: forever.
