Well, finally getting the chance to sit down and watch this.

Anyone out there seen it?

As a horror movie, it really doesn't do much for me.  I'm not a huge fan of the genre, so maybe not the best judge, but the scifi really didn't seem very solid either.

Anyone that saw it ended up being confused. Excluding me (I haven't seen it).

Sadly there wasn't much there to get confused about.

It's not that bad, it's just expectations were running quite high since the first Alien movie. More than 30 years later, no movie could live up to this legend. :) But yeah, it could and should be better.

You are orphans, earthdeirdre, your homeworld already buried so young among the aeons. Yet now you fill the skies where we watched a million sunsets with flame and contrails, paying no heed to the hard lessons the universe has tried to teach you. Are you a breath of life to invigorate a complacent world, you earthhumans, or an insidious cancer which must be excised?
~Lady Deirdre Skye ’Conversations With Planet’
