So I just downloaded yitzi 3.5 - extract the files - paste into you're smax folder

Download 3.5d and move the .exe file into your main folder, make sure you replace your old terranx.exe with it

then download binary dawn 3.1 - open read me - follow instructions (which actually describe the above) and the specifics inside the read me tell you where to put what and how.

As for the "ai factions" - I think they are meant to be moved into the main files whenever you want to play against stronger ai's, but not to be used by the human player themselves. So you should make a copy folder of the 14 base game factions from binary dawns main files and put it in a new folder and call it whatever you want. You can leave the folder inside your smax group folder no text files will pull from it, but having them on hand will make replacing the "ai" improved versions easy if you want to swap back to the binary dawn 3.1 versions. So whenever you want to play against the improved ai versions just pick whichever 6 you want to face, drag them into whichever folded you have your text files the game pulls from and select the replace all files option.

Thanks I made a separate install for BD within my main AC Directory. Works fine. Like the differences in gameplay and makes for an interesting comparison.  The biggest differences are the units which are far more diverse than stock AC

We are no longer particularly in the business of writing software to perform specific tasks. We now teach the software how to learn, and in the primary bonding process it molds itself around the task to be performed. The feedback loop never really ends, so a tenth year polysentience can be a priceless jewel or a psychotic wreck, but it is the primary bonding process?the childhood, if you will?that has the most far-reaching repercussions.
