Yitzi Patch - helpx and labels
« on: August 25, 2016, 07:46:44 PM »
In Yitzi's patch, what do Helpx.txt and Labels.txt accomplish? My versions of these are already heavily modded, so it would be helpful to know which parts need to be changed.

In Yitzi's patch, what do Helpx.txt and Labels.txt accomplish? My versions of these are already heavily modded, so it would be helpful to know which parts need to be changed.

They both add new lines for some new features.  In helpx., I believe it is only under #TECHHECK, the three lines:

^Multiresource convoys allowed inside base radius
^Multiresource convoys not restricted to base radius.
^Effectiveness of ECM and AAA abilities doubled.

(after economic victory allowed, before diplomatic victory allowed).

In labels.txt, I believe it is just the 7 lines

Receives support
facility
facilities
satellite
satellites
secret project
secret projects

At the end, as well as increasing the number at the start from 1131 to 1138.

If someone could post unmodded versions of helpx.txt and labels.txt, I can double-check that those are the only differences.

These are the unmodded helpx.txt and labels.txt.

So there are a lot of differences from the original in helpx.txt.  However, the only differences between my patch's helpx.txt file and the one on the wiki are:

-The extra techheck lines I mentioned.
-The version on the wiki has reduced the datalinks' statements about the effective increase from perimeter defense etc. by 25 percentage points (as it replaces the 25% bonus for the base), whereas mine does not have those changes.

The only difference between my labels.txt and the original are the 7 lines I mentioned, plus a single typo that was also corrected in the wiki's version.

Sky farms are fantastically beautiful, with their kilometer long networks of glass framed in grids of metal, and the sunlight shining through jungles of vegetation inside. When one of them catches the light, you can see the refracted beauty for miles; they are life-giving stars on a desolate planet...gardens on the wing.
