I'd be surprised if it didn't include America, England, France, Germany, Rome, Russia, Babylon, India, China, Aztecs, Mongols, and the Zulu.

They were in the original, and pretty much every version since, I think.
Now I'm wondering... In the original Civ you had options on the civs, but they had particular colors and you couldn't have two of the same in one game-

Babylon and Zulu - green
America and China- light blue
Rome and Russia- white
India and Mongols - gray
Germany and France- dark blue
England- pink
Aztec?

Where did I go wrong/what did I forget?

I was thinking the Aztecs were Green, but I'm not sure. I may have to check this out at CFC.

Aztec and Egyptians - yellow

There! I think that does it.  The original Civilizations. Odd that I didn't remember Greece and Egypt.

And when the hourglass has run out, the hourglass of temporality, when the noise of secular life has grown silent and its restless or ineffectual activism has come to an end, when everything around you is still, as it is in eternity, then eternity asks you and every individual in these millions and millions about only one thing: whether you have lived in despair or not.
~Soren Kierkegaard 'The Sickness Unto Death', Datalinks
