Simple question. Can you add or subtract drones in social engineering?

I do know that efficiency subtracts some drones. You also have a psych slider that you can adjust at your own peril that will take away from money and research.

I was just thinking of trying something different when modding Social Engineering choices.

You mean drones per base?  You can create extra drones via a -TALENT modifier, but AFAIK there is no way to remove drones (+TALENT creates extra talents instead, which has a similar effect).

There is also the "NODRONE, x" social modifier you can put in a faction's text file (x = Number of drones per base made content).
Two possibilities exist: Either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying. ― Arthur C. Clarke

Yeah I was hoping to add or subtract Drones per base with social engineering.  I've already tried Talents. Thanks.
Update. I tried to add drones in social engineering as an experiment it has no effect as far as I've seen.

Yeah, there's no separate +DRONE option in social engineering.

Though is there a reason you don't want to use -TALENT to add drones per base?

Mostly because I wanted to see if there was another option besides just adding or subtracting talents.

There isn't, but keep in mind that a negative TALENT score creates drones rather than removing talents.

There are two kinds of scientific progress, the methodical experimentation and categorization, which gradually extend the boundaries of knowledge, and the revolutionary leap of genius which redefines and transcends those boundaries. Acknowledging our debt to the former, we yearn, nonetheless, for the latter.
~Academician Prokhor Zakharov
