uh oh.  Which brand?

numbitall type?

Don't stress on this.  IMO, SPRING would actually be the 'hot' time for your particular brand of mask on the forum.  It's 40 days out.  You've seen ME on 40 days out often enough.  We're focused on getting stuff done and up and working, and if it's not an immediate need, it's not on a shopping list right now.  Now spring is the oh lets see what is out there and decorate our walls and make a theme time.

Something beginning with an L.  --Lorazimpam.  Doesn't have a lot of kick for me.

Well screw it, then - if you say time is not of the essence, I'm done for the day.  Kinda burned out, ATM.

Rather take my time and get it right, if fast isn't of the essence...

The use of contractions has always annoyed me because they often contain more than a single meaning. I prefer formal English writing, and the utilization of sentences with a verb, a subject, and a complete thought.

My sig line is there for a reason.

If I stop using contractions and slang, it's a sign I'm upset, or at least taking a post too seriously...

Y'know? ;)

I remain uncertain about the reasons that I prefer to type in a formal manner. I have always associated the application of contractions in written communciation as superfluous information unless it provides additional depth to a character.

Over-formal writing style, always, makes one sound like one has never even HEARD of humor, let alone grasps the concept...

I tend to find humor in unusual or annoying actions.

I think you finally understand one of the reasons that I spend a lot of time on this board.

I'll be here all week.  Enjoy your meal, and please be good to the waiters.

What types of materials were Greek masks typically made from in classical periods? How would a Greek Mask sell today? I imagine it requires a significant quantity of work to produce an accurate recreation of the masks because the masks cover the majority of an actor's face. I saw an interesting example in the movie seen below:

I don't know and I don't know.  I imagine they'd at least have some wall art appeal, at least if we did a good job.  Various sorts of theatrical masks -comdedia del arte', for example- are something we discuss doing from time to time.

My guess would be something like paper mache or plaster, but those Greek dramas were derived from religious festivals, and there's no telling what sort of tradition holdovers that could have caused.  The original religious festivals probably featured something elaborately-made and precious - no telling by the classical period.  If anyone left any records of what the masks were made of, it's escaped my attention.

I found several sites that reference the plausible application of natural materials. An example of the materials appears as the Greek Theater website states "The masks were most likely made out of light weight, organic materials like stiffened linen, leather, wood, or cork, with the wig consisting of human or animal hair." I suppose it makes sense that the masks were made out of natural materials like the above materials because they were the materials that originate from available resources.
