Random crap with Uno.

Looking at a tendon chart, it's pretty clear I did a peroneus brevis and/or peroneus longus sprain.  Both attach to the 5th metatarsal under the cuboid and head back behind the fibula, exactly like I was describing where it hurt.  The pop may have been dislocating of the tendon at the fibula.  I think I may have felt it pop back into place yesterday.   

Like, behold there's literally 2 tendons that connect the exact areas I was describing, but no, two totally separate things according to phone-a-doc. 



Typical rest/ice/aleve approach. 

2 days on now it's kind of annoying but tolerable.  The foot part doesn't hurt so much anymore but behind the fibula is still swollen and hurts to pressure or moving, but is also itchy which is a good sign.  I've been wrapping with an ace bandage, need to look into finding my old braces or getting a new one.  also been wearing my boots for added ankle support. 

Pain history: 

immediately following:  Oh, that's not good, but it doesn't hurt too much to walk.  Better report just in case. 
~12 hours after:  Oh, uh, that's not good, I can hardly put weight on it, I might need to see someone. 
24 hours: eh, I've had worse. 
slowly improving through the day.  Emergency response requiring me doing some stair flights later:  I need drugs. 
Today:  Eh, it sucks but it'll be ok.

I’ve talked before about how I’m more of a Munsters fan than Addams Family.  As in I straight genuinely don’t care for Addams.

Just watched Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) with second kid.  On the one hand, the "plot" of that movie was so dumb it made the previous film's seem like Masterpiece Theater.  On the other, I could actually tell which monster was doing what to which other monster this time.  Also--and I think this is important--Ziyi Zhang is really hot with a pixie cut, even when she is spouting preposterous History-channel gibberish about ancient legends.

Just like technobabble is basically a requirement of Star Trek.

Yes.  But this looked like they PURPOSELY told Lily and Herman to overact as much as they possibly could.  It looked almost more parody than remake.

...so I have an interview today. 

Being offered a career path change, and I honestly don't know whether I'm going to accept or not at this point. 

On one hand, it would be LOADS less stressful.  Absolutely night and day. 

At the same time, my departure from this position would need to be handled very delicately at this juncture.  I kinda built this thing and I'm very much a see things through to the end sort of person.  Then there's another career path change on the horizon I've had my eye on when a certain someone retires...but this one has most the same advantages...

Wait, so it was projecting 5 meters off center 10 minutes ago, and now they're saying 30 meters off center after 2 correction burns but systems go?  ....ok....

Well, success.  It sounded like the problem with targeting above was it initially picked up shadows off the larger asteroid to target but got corrected.
