So I'm discovering a whole new source of adult stress, suddenly -- driving.  Which is to say, other drivers.

My first experience with five o'clock rush hour traffic last night was... well, pretty enlightening.  When you're in the correct lane, obeying every traffic law, motoring along at a very acceptable speed, coming up to an intersection where you're going to turn left, got your signal going, feeling good with the world...

...and some IDIOT goes around you on the right and then blasts straight across the front of your car as you enter the intersection because apparently he or she did not think you were going fast enough and they needed to get through that light a little faster...

...well, you take that [poop]PERSONALLY in a way you just don't when you're sitting in the passenger seat.

Swear to God, if I'd had a gun I'd have been chasing that mother****er, and if I'd caught him or her I'd have shot him without a second's hesitation, and been ASTONISHED when arrested/tried/convicted/jailed.

I mean, I would simply expect that a logical exception to pesky laws about murder and such would be made in such an instance.

Let the Gaians preach their silly religion, but one way or the other I shall see this compound burned, seared, and sterilized until every hiding place is found and until every last Mind Worm egg, every last slimy one, has been cooked to a smoking husk. That species shall be exterminated, I tell you! Exterminated!”
