What the modders probably need to do is start doing reading on basic Civ 5 modding techniques such as custom leader design to start. I have a feeling BE will be set up very similar to Civ 5.

I would leave all of the mods/TCMs for the cult classics up and occasionally maintain them. But, to truly reach a wider audience, start migrating to a game with a wider audience. This does not mean abandoning. This means expanding your repertoire.

Funnily enough I was given a copy of Civ 5 when I bought XCOM2012, still never played it.

I'm not really planning to revive the project major scale. Just was wondering if people wanted them remade for AARs or whatever.

The vanilla civ 5 is not very good in my opinion. But, Brave New World made it pretty good.

If they wish to include Pokeman on any scale, we know where to look :D But, I think the market here likes low fantasy sci fi. They are not as Hienlieinesque in taste it seems as creatures like the Antimind have a place. But, I am not sure they would want Orks running around with plasma rifles riding dragons. Ditto for 'toons. It is their taste.

Do not feel bad, though. I always wanted to do a TCM of something that was anything goes. Where you would have bad assed Giants with lightsabres, vehicles, aircraft, and wizards launching fireballs. Better, a great creator engine where you could add anything you want. Kind of like a cross between Gamma World and Dungeons and Dragons and GURPS Future meets 4x. But even if I had the skills and time, I could hear the screams and heads shaking. Knowing me, I would probably add My Little Ponies just to make people mad.

At least you HAVE a TCM, which is more than most wannabe folks that scream for things can do. And, the mod was an epic troll AND playable! I love it when folks get panties in a wad.

But do not get stuck in the past. Always make NEW things. Make the next mod totally different from what is done before! daVinci did not sit around with the Mona Lisa for 5 years. No, he made many other works.

Heh yeah well I basically make the same sort of stuff as this was, just for myself now really. It's just not accepted online.

Am looking forward to my C&C release as well of course. :)
